Responsible for patient referrals to specialists, therapies, higher order imaging, and DME facilities, as required by insurance companies. Communicates with providers to obtain any missing information or documentation necessary for medical review and final authorization/approval. Coordinates with various specialists to schedule urgent or STAT referrals and/or appointments. Follows-up on referrals and checks in with specialists and families to close the “referral loop.” Provides great customer service with a positive attitude.
